Young Earth Savers Club

The Young Earth Savers is a club for students in Grade 4. The club offers opportunities to educate our students about the importance of protecting our natural environment and, where they are able, to gain a sense of pride in caring for our planet. Students who belong to the Young Earth Savers Club will meet once a month:

Meetings take place over the noon hour and, depending on the weather, we perform out duties outside. Squirrels, Sharks, Bees meet the second Friday of the month; Eagles, Cobras, Frogs meet the last Friday of the month.

Members of the club will help with:

  • Classroom recycling
  • School yard clean-up
  • Planting seeds, bulbs and weeding our gardens
  • Learn about important environmental concerns
  • Make posters and crafts that will develop greater environmental awareness
