GET INVOLVED

The VTT PAC (Parent Action Chavurah) is a body that acts on behalf of the parents and school to enhance the overall VTT community.  We do this by helping with volunteerism, ruach, fundraising and connecting the different parts of the VTT community to one another

Interested in getting involved with the PAC? Please send an email to: vttpac@gmail.com and tell us your availability and interests. We look forward to hearing from you!

ORDER CHALLAHS

The goal of the PAC Participation Program is to invite and encourage all families to take a role in ensuring our schools success. We are blessed with a parent body that is passionate about Jewish Day School and believe parental involvement both compliments and enriches the exceptional education Talmud Torah provides.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to feel a part of the VTT family and we value the involvement and support of all of our parents. To follow are some examples of where your volunteer support is needed:

School Community Building Support: Each year, activities are created with the goal of increasing the sense of community and spirit amongst our families. They include things like our Welcome Back Coffee, New Parent Tea, Community Holiday Dinners and Social Gatherings. Volunteers are needed to organize, plan and facilitate said programming.

Holiday Support: The Judaics department does an exceptional job of designing meaningful holiday celebrations for our children. The elaborate, and always enriching, holiday activities would not be possible without the COUNTLESS parent volunteers who work diligently behind the scenes to ensure each holiday’s success.

Community Support: Our school is part of a large, wonderful and flourishing Jewish community and strives to support community initiatives whenever possible. VTT parent and student representatives are always present and involved in community events and there are many opportunities throughout the year to help build our local community while representing our fabulous school.

Classroom Support: Parents support the classroom experience at VTT by serving as classroom volunteers, field-trip chaperones, guest speakers or classroom prep helpers. This type of service is invaluable and greatly appreciated by our teachers.

Fundraising Support: There are many important fundraisers that happen in the school including monthly Scholastic Book sales, the annual Chanukah sale and more. Each initiative takes hundreds of volunteer hours and is as successful as they are because of parental organization, dedication and enthusiasm.

ROSH HASHANAH

Each family must complete a minimum of 10 volunteer hours. The hours can be completed by parents, grandparents, nannies, etc. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Preparing for Jewish holidays, going on class trips, baking and fundraising are just a few examples of how families volunteer at VTT. Feel free to do more than the minimum 10 hours. There are many ways to contribute to school life.
