Giving - Vancouver Talmud Torah

Donate Now

Every year, donations and sponsorship from individuals, companies and foundations provides critically needed funds to support our strategic pillars of educational excellence, community and financial stability and sustainability.

Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating our students, nor does it allow us to support our families and our community.

Donations over the past number of years have enabled VTT to make essential investments in technology, programs, professional development for faculty, upgrades to aging infrastructure, support for families in need and so much more.

Our first priority is the VTT Campus Campaign to expand and revitalize the school. To learn more about the VTT Campus Campaign, click here.

Our second priority is our Annual Campaign, which raises funds each year to support ongoing and pressing needs in the school. This year, our goal is to raise $300,000 through the Annual Campaign.

Are 12 and 13 year olds capable of making a difference? Judging by the thoughtful and careful planning of Vancouver Talmud Torah’s Grade 7 students, our future is in very good hands.

This is the year in which our Grade 7 students become B’nei Mitzvah and learn about their responsibilities to the community and the world around them. The culmination of their Tikkun Olam learning happens with the Mitzvah of Valuing Philanthropy (MVP) program. Through acts of tzedekah and hesed, the students learn in a hands-on way what it means to become a caring and responsible adult.

The Jewish Pages has been an important annual fundraiser for VTT and we are extremely grateful for the constant support since its inception in 1957. Due to a current lack of demand for this publication, the Jewish Pages will no longer be in distribution. Supplies of the 2015-2016 edition are still available and will continue to be dispensed free of charge. To obtain your free copy please email us at development@talmudtorah.com.

Together, an elegant cookbook consisting of recipes submitted by dozens of member of our community, is a wonderful testament to our shared heritage and values. It is also an ongoing fundraising initiative for VTT (while supplies last), and makes a beautiful gift. We encourage you to share this with others, and try all the recipes. Let us know which is your favourite! Contact us to buy your copy today.

Ways to Give

Every single gift to VTT makes a difference and we are grateful for the support of all of our donors. We are able to accept gifts of cash, credit, real property, publicly listed securities and many different types of financial vehicles that may help make your giving more tax effective. Please contact the Development Office at 604-736-7307 or development@talmudtorah.com or speak to your professional advisors for more information.

Many of our donors choose to make multi-year commitments to our projects or programs. This type of giving is very important to the school, as it allows us to make longer-term plans and enables us to allocate our operating funds to the highest priorities of the school. These commitments can be paid on a monthly basis (direct debit from your bank account or credit card) or on any other schedule that meets your needs.
