team member
Jimmy Sanchez
Bus Driver/Recess Supervisor

Born and raised in Mexico City, Jimmy Sanchez immigrated to Montreal with his family at age 14. However, Montreal winters proved too challenging so at age 20 Jimmy moved to Vancouver to join his brothers and nephews. To pay the bills, Jimmy started a residential house painting business serving apartment buildings in the downtown core. Once his brothers started a bus company, they hired Jimmy on the weekends to shepherd tourists to various destinations in Vancouver in Seattle. This part-time job eventually transitioned to full-time and Jimmy has been driving for the last 16 years. Jimmy joined VTT in 2015 as a contractor and in 2016 as a full-fledged employee. Jimmy’s distinct hairstyle makes him recognizable to every student in the school. His playground supervision duties ensures he also knows every student by name.

Jimmy speaks English, French and Spanish fluently and loves to fix cars in his spare time.
