Lisa Weidman - Vancouver Talmud Torah

team member
Lisa Weidman
Grade 2 General Studies

Although born and raised in Winnipeg, Lisa Weidman has now spent more time living and working in Vancouver than her beloved home town. After completing her degree in child development from the University of Manitoba, she then earned a Bachelor of Education degree from UBC. Many years later, while working full-time at VTT, she completed a diploma in educational technology at SFU.

With a twenty-year career at VTT, the Jewish day school world is a familiar one to Lisa as she attended one herself until the eighth grade. All three of her children went to Talmud Torah as well.

Lisa first joined Talmud Torah as a volunteer while an education student at UBC. She assisted students in Grades 1 and 2 who were struggling readers through our LAC program. Since then, Lisa has taught Kindergarten, Grades 2, 3, 5 as well as provided resource support.

In her spare time, Mrs. Weidman enjoys home decor and interior design and has taken several courses and trainings in this domain.  She is a devoted mother to her three children and loves going on long walks with her very sweet dog through the forest.
